This summer, the Shoulder Check Showcase will return for its fourth annual event, bringing together hockey fans, professional players, Olympic gold medalists, Stanley Cup champions, to band to one community for a day thats focused on connection, kindness, and community.

The event, scheduled for July 30, 2026, at Martire Family Arena in Fairfield, Connecticut, is organized by Shoulder Check, a nonprofit organization dedicated to encouraging meaningful conversations and inspiring people to support one another through simple acts of connection.
Founded on the belief that a simple conversation can make a difference, Shoulder Check promotes its message through the slogan, “Reach Out. Check In. Make Contact.” The organization encourages people to support friends, family members, teammates, classmates, and peers who may be facing challenges, reminding everyone that a small gesture can have a long lasting impact.
This year’s Showcase will feature appearances from NHL players Trevor Zegras and Chris Kreider, along with Stanley Cup champions and Olympic gold medal-winning players from both the men’s and women’s hockey teams. Fans will have the opportunity to enjoy on-ice activities, autograph sessions, and fan events throughout the day while learning more about Shoulder Check’s mission.
While the Showcase celebrates the sport of hockey, the purpose of the event extends beyond the game. Organizers hope to spread a message centered on kindness, compassion, and connection.
We don’t always know who needs a hand, but we all have a hand to give. We all need somebody to lean on so be there for a person who does. That’s why players from across the league have come together to share one simple but powerful message: connection matters. Because sometimes, just reaching out can make all the difference.
Every day, countless young people face challenges they don’t always talk about. Shoulder Check exists to remind them—and all of us—that we’re here for them.
Shoulder Check is an #HT40 initiative inspiring young men and women to commit to

supporting one another through small acts that have a big impact. The organization aims to show that “being there” can be as simple as a hand on a shoulder.
A Shoulder Check means reaching out, checking in, and making contact—on and off the ice.
Throughout the day, fans will participate in activities designed to celebrate the sport while also embracing the event’s message of community and support. Organizers hope the showcase will inspire attendees to check in on the people around them and recognize the importance of being there for one another.
As the Shoulder Check Showcase enters its fourth year, it continues to combine the hockey community’s passion for the game with a message centered on compassion, awareness, and connection. For many attendees, the event is not only a chance to meet professional athletes but also an opportunity to support a cause that encourages people to look out for one another and strengthen their communities.
The 4th Annual Shoulder Check Showcase will take place on July 30, 2026, at Martire Family Arena, with proceeds and awareness efforts supporting Shoulder Check’s ongoing mission to inspire connection, kindness, and support for young people and communities everywhere.
