The fall season is in full swing now in high school sports with all sports seeing action. This week we are expecting great performances from many different DHS players. Here are some important players for you to look out for at these upcoming games this week.
Player #1: Senior Cameron Moyers
Wearing the number 10 jersey, Cam Moyers is a senior and Darien varsity soccer team captain playing central midfielder and center back. Cam is one of the most crucial players to the success of this Darien team, with phenomenal contributions both offensively and defensively. Defensively, he is quick and strong on his feet, able to put in good challenges for the ball, and often win possession back in the midfield. However, where he stands out is on offense. Cam is one of the fastest players
on the team with the ball at his feet and that paired with one of the strongest shots leads to a goal-scoring machine. One of the team’s players Sebastian Serrano commented on Cameron regarding his impact on the team, He said, “The difference between when Cam Is on the the field and when he is off is crazy. the game flows so much better when he is playing” After watching every game from this team’s season I can conclude that Cam is the glue that holds the Darien Boys varsity Soccer team together. On top of this, his ability to take free kicks sets him apart from the other attacking players on the team. His percentages from a freekick are insane with him scoring one almost every game. Watch out for his free kicks when you watch this varsity team play. He leads Darien Soccer to a promising start to their season going 4-1-1 hoping in their next upcoming games to get an early entrance into the state championship.

Player #2: Senior Daniel Xing
GoalDaniel Xing is one of the important players to look out for on the golf team. Having started growing up playing golf at a high level attending 4 golf tournaments and placing top 25 in all of them and top 10 in one of them, he is a nice consistent player. Recently on the Darien Varsity golf team Daniel has been an up-and-coming star, performing better and better every matchday. He has been a strong varsity player for a couple of seasons now, and coming into the start of this season, he will bring lots of experience and leadership to this team. Daniel is a player I would watch in these upcoming couple of tournaments. The varsity golf team has been looking good since the beginning of this season and with more and more tournaments approaching, they hope to extend their successful performances throughout the rest of the fall.
