Every Sunday morning, I go out to breakfast with my friends, and every time, we have the same debate – Cosmos, UCBC, or Village Bagels?
I began to ask around and realized that this was a universal experience for many adolescents in our town. I mean, it makes sense; who wouldn’t be passionate about their favorite bagel store! So I thought, why not ask the rest of the student body and put an end to this debate once and for all.
A Google Form was sent out to collect opinions, and seven days and 160 participants later, the results are in! From location to food to drinks to parking, our student body dissected the overall quality of these local phenomenons, and the winner was quite clear.
Let’s look at the results, shall we?
First, the breakdown of the store itself:
In all four categories for overall accessibility and speed of our three local options, UCBC has taken the lead by quite the landslide… but we aren’t done, let’s check out the real reason we go to these places: the food and drinks.
Yet again, UCBC holds the leading position in the food and drink category. However the race remains on the tighter side between our other two competitors. So, let’s move on to the most important part to get our final answer, the overall ratings:
Coming in third place… Village Bagels with an average rating of 5.59 out of 10.
Next, in second place… Cosmos with an average rating of 6.29 out of 10.
And last but not least, our first place winner… UCBC won by a landslide not just individually but overall with an average rating of 8.70 out of 10.
Although all these places appeal to some, our student body has a clear winner… UCBC! When asked about UCBC, Junior Ellie Eising stated, “The environment is so welcoming and the bagels are delicious with affordable prices….so good”. So next Sunday, when you’re choosing where to eat with your friends, end the debate and head to UCBC for a quick, easy, and delicious breakfast.
