Good morning, Freshman, faculty, and fellow students,

Welcome to Darien High School! I’m Yenairis Frias, your Student Body President, and I’m so excited to have you here. I know starting high school can be both exciting and a little intimidating – I’ve been there. I was new to Darien a few years ago, and I know how it feels to step into unfamiliar territory.

As someone who has gone through the transition of being new here, I encourage you to embrace the experience. Get involved, ask questions, and don’t be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone. The friends you make, the teachers you meet, and the challenges you overcome will all shape who you become during your time here.

DHS is a community where everyone can find their niche, whether it’s in sports, arts, academics, or clubs. If you ever feel lost or just need someone to talk to, don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I’m here to help, and I promise you’ll always get a wave from me in the halls.

So, take a deep breath, smile, and get ready for an incredible year ahead. You belong here, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’re going to accomplish.
