This turn of the century action packed film is what any true crime lover would enjoy. The Bone Collector is full of eerie suspense and graphic crime scences to piece together murder mystery set in New York City. Lincoln Rhyme played by Denzel Washington is a forensic expert paralyzed from the neck down and unable to solve this chilling case. Amelia Donaghy, played by Angelina Jolie, is a rookie cop partnered with Rhyme to discover who killed and could be hiding the innocent couple. This sadistic killer whose identity remains a mystery for most of the movie, kills his victims by tricking them into a cab and then kidnapping them. Rhyme and Donaghy must work together to solve this case before the killer strikes his next victim.

The Hollywood Reporter describes the movie as “the enigmatic clue-distributing serial killer dubbed the Bone Collector ”. We find this interpretation quite accurate since there were points in the film that were exaggerated and unrealistic. However, the jump scares intensified the search and the graphic images of corpses were gruesome, but are crucial for any successful thriller. We both a crime lovers which makes this movie really appealing, but if you are looking for a movie that will avoid you losing interest, The Bone Collector is a fan-favorite.
