Girls Track and Field are FCIAC East Champions
Blue Wave takes the win for the first time since 2015.

This weekend, the Girls Indoor Track and Field team won the FCIAC East for the first time since 2015, breaking Fairfield Ludlowe’s 5-year winning streak. Darien won with a staggering 127.5 points, the next closest competitor came in at 91.5 points. This title is the 14th all-time FCIAC East trophy that Blue Wave Girls Indoor Track and Field has won.
Some impressive Individual performances:
Camilla Lash came in second in the 45-meter-dash with a personal record
Kate Demark and Camilla Lash went 1st and 3rd respectively in the 300 meters
Kate Demark and Katie Savino went 1-3 in the 600 meters, Katie running a personal record
Julia Blake and Cam Meyer went 1-2 in the 1000, and Elizabeth Gonnella PRed to qualify for FCIACs
Julia Blake came in second in the 1-mile race with Bronwyn Fitzgerald and Samantha Veeder running PRs
Avery Johnson came in second in the 2-mile with Ali Meyers in sixth, both PRs
Keziah Gyimah-Padmore came in fourth in the 45-meter hurdles
Relays:
4 x 375 won!

4 x 750 won!
(Anna Duarte, Avery Johnson, Ali Meyers, Julia Blake)
SMR came in second
(Anna Duarte, Yenairis Frias, Kiely Hillock, Cam Meyer)
4 x 225 came in third
(Keziah Gyimah-Padmore, Yenairis Frias, Kiely Hillock, Evelyn Trudel)
Field Events:
Tate Wein came in sixth in the high jump
Anna Duarte tied for third in the pole vault
Keziah Gyimah-Padmore and Evelyn Trudel went 3-4 in the long jump, Keziah with a PR!
